Rita and Janie Invasion Day 8

Emily and Collin both loved sleeping with me on the futon. A little more than I would have liked, they were up quite a few times in the night. :) Everyone (my whole family, Aunt Ruth, Uncle Lynol, Stephanie, Tye, Aunt Aileen, Jonas, Joshua, Jacob, Grandma Knoll, Aunt Margaret) headed out to Beacon Hill Park after a yummy breakfast of French Toast courtesy of Aunt Ruth. We met up with most of my dad's side of the family. (Uncle Wayne, Aunt Cee, Uncle Mel, Aunt Judy, Stephanie, Nathan, Megan, Uncle Zain, Dalia, Jada, Amber, and Sophia) We all headed into the petting zoo to see ducks, miniture horses, mice, birds and especially pet all the goats. Emily (along with all the other kids) enjoyed petting and brushing all the goats. The ducks put on quite a show and the kids loved them as well. We all headed over to a big picnic area to have a potluck lunch. MORE fantastic food and company. It was so nice to visit with everyone. I really love visiting with my aunts, uncles and cousins. Its like we've just seen each other even though we are lucky if we see each other once every two years. There are more kids every time we get together. A family reunion is in the plans on both sides of the family because we all realized we want to spend more time together. Aunt Cindy and Stacey showed up while all the kids were down at the park. It was nice to meet Stacey's little girl in person. She is beautiful. The kids had fun down at the park on all the toys and the water toys. We were able to get a big group picture. I will post it when I get a copy. It was hard to say goodbye. Our family headed down to the inner harbour to show it off to Janie. It was really hot and a long walk. All the kids were in need of naps so it wasn't the most peaceful outing. :) Matt, Dad, and Naomi walked back and picked us all up at the parliament buildings. We got back to a delicious cheeseburger dinner courtesy of Uncle Lynol. I turned to my dad and asked him where my backpack was because I wasn't to put my sunglasses away and put on my normal glasses. (I have prescription sunglasses) My dad and I searched through all three vehicles and couldn't find it. That was when Matt remembered putting it down at the inner harbour while we took a water break. So my dad and Matt headed back down town to see if they could find it. (It also contained my mom's wallet.) We all said prayers hoping that everything would turn out well. Sure enough it was exactly where Matt had left it, unopened, nothing disturbed. There were lots of prayers of thanks. It was hard to go to sleep knowing that this was our last night all together. Both Rita and Janie are happy to be heading home. Audrey's birth certificate never showed up but they are going to attempt the border without it.
