Exciting Development

My sister Rita decided that my random mailouts of pictures of Emily were just not enough, so she created this blog for me to put stuff on. We shall see how this goes. :) I can already tell that I won't be able to work or post on this site while Emily is awake. At this moment she has taken over the mouse and is making this a long process. Emily at this moment has 2 teeth and 1 molar trying to come in so her usual cheerful disposition has taken a vacation. Though she has kept her sense of humour. Her favourite activity today has been to play in the new tv box. She thinks that it is fantastic. I will try and post some pictures and a video. She definately makes me laugh and keeps me on my toes. Well that is about all for now. :) Let's see if I can figure out how to post pictures!

April update

Hello!
This has been a crazy busy month and it isn't even over yet. I just
wanted to send on some funny pictures. The older Emily gets the more
her personality comes thorugh. And I must say, watch out world here
comes Emily! :) She has perfected temper tantrums but is still
mostly her sweet self. She makes her mom and dad smile and laugh.
She has lost a lot of her baby look and is making her mom sad because
of it. She loves people and is very social. She loves going for
daily walks and prefers to walk instead of ride in the stroller.
Except for yesterday when she walked to school playground and then
decided she was too tired to walk home after we played on the swings.
She climbed into her doll stroller. (Oh yeah because she doesn't go
for walks without pushing either her baby or baby bear in her doll
stroller.) And I pushed her home in this small stroller. My friend
Becki saw me and she was laughing because it looked like I was pushing
a doll in it. :) She has become quite interested in rocks so we have
to stop at every rock she sees while we are out on walks. We are all
loving life here. Especially since we are hoping spring is here. We
are not looking forward to moving in the next month or so but hey
that's life. We are still not sure where we are moving but we have
something in the works. The Lord has always provided for us and I am
sure he will again. The other day I came home for lunch to find my
daughter looking like a cave baby. She had cereal all over her face,
her hair looking wild and only a onsie on that was hanging off one
shoulder. :) It was hilarious because she was "dancing" by turning
in circles. She definately makes me laugh. We think often of all of
you. We hope you are all doing well.

PS I am sending pictures of Emily's first sleepover (at our hosue
with her friends the Coes), Bathing with Ethan, her "reading", her
cavebaby look, her vacuuming, ponytails, her first bubblebath, covered
in ketchup and her going for a walk and in the baby stroller.

Pictures of Emily 2

I promise this is the last of the pictures. :) FYI A big thanks out
to my sister Rita for making such a beautiful dress for Emily to wear
for Easter. You continue to amaze me. Emily loved Easter. She
totally caught onto the who finding the dyed eggs. Though she
preferred chocolate, much to her father's dismay. :)

#4-5 Emily at "Youth Conference" with her friends and then learning
to swing dance with her dad. I know its just too cute to see a little
girl dancing with her dad.

#6 Emily driving the toy boat on the ferry.

#8 Emily didn't want to wear her Easter dress on Easter Sunday. Just
the underwear.

#9-10 Easter egg hunting.

Hello Family

I just wanted to let you all know that Emily passed her one year check
up. She weighs 18 lbs 11 1/2 oz. (9th percentile) Her height is
29". (25th percentile) and her head circumferance is in the 50th
percentile. The doctor said that she is walking extremely well. She
is still curling her toes a little as she walks but he figures that
will be gone by the time she is two. She was given a clean bill of
health except that I am to watch her weight. :) I knew that would be
expected as soon as I found out she was in the 9th percentile. In
three months if her weight goes down farther in the percentile ratings
then they will do tests to find out why she is not putting on weight.
He figures that its the difference between a liquid diet and now
having to digest solid foods. I found out that babies born with blond
hair and blue eyes have a higher percentage chance of suffering food
allergies as a child. (such as siliac's disease) He told us what
symptoms to watch for. Since my kid eats like a horse and is very
happy, I'm not too worried. He was a new doctor as ours is away with
an injury (concussion from playing soccer) so Emily showed off the
whole time we were there. :) I hope that you are all well. We love
all of you and think of you often.

Pictures of Emily's Birthday

Here are a few pictures from Emily's birthday. Sorry there hasn't
been an update from us recently. I, unfortunately, left our camera on
the plane on the way back from Christmas. So no camera, no pictures.
My parents were kind enough to take pictures of the party and I have
just gotten around to downloading them. For her birthday, we invited
her friends to come swimming at the local pool. Afterwards we used
one of the rooms next to the pool and had cake. She loved opening her
gifts and sharing them with her friends, Rachel and Josephine. :)
Enjoy!

PS The first few pictures are random ones of my brother Matt, my
nephew Ethan and my sister Naomi. The rest are random photos from the
party. Enjoy!
