Birthday Party with Family and Friends

We had Collin's Birthday party from 10a-12p on Saturday, March 5th. Collin couldn't make up his mind on which superhero so I told him we would have a superhero party. I made felt batman capes for all the kids. (Plus lots left over becuase we had some last minute cancellations.) The girls had pink batgirl capes. I think they turned out cute. The kids came and played downstairs while I quickly finished sewing velcro on. :) Then we read a batman book and the kids ran downstairs in their capes to play. I had them come up before lunch to play a disc game where they shoot Joker from Batman. We then had hotdogs, carrots, chips and juice boxes for lunch. (Collin's favourite lunch items) The kids ate on the floor in the living room. After lunch we broke open the spiderman pinata. It has strings attached so kids just pull but it didn't open so Russell, Isaac and Emily took turns punching it. After we had cupcakes and Collin opened a few gifts. Audrey helped Collin blow out his candles but he didn't realize it and he was so proud of how quickly they went out. :) Janie, Zerric and Audrey drove up from Utah for the morning to come to the party and it was so nice to have them there. My kids were so excited to see them. They gave Collin some small Iron Man toys and a chocolate bar. His friend Mara from Nursery gave him some bubbles and his Peck cousins gave him two bouncy balls, a squishy ball and two trucks. He was spoiled. We were able to have Mara, Isaac, Annabelle, Zerric, Audrey, Cassie, Maggie, Tyson, and Russell over. The moms sat up stairs and visited while Landon and Nic disappeared downstairs. :) It was fun to talk as women and plot to send our husband's out on a guy night. A really nice night. Mel and Vauna are coming up this afternoon for dinner. Collin has asked for his all time favourite dinner, pizza. Rita, Nic and their family will come back over tonight for a family party. I think my goal of losing weight will experience a set back for today but that is what birthday's are for. Here a slide show of the party:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO COLLIN! A little late, but better late than never, right? Wished we could have been there to celebrate. Can't wait until next time we see you and the birthday boy! xoxo
